FOTF Interview

Did you see or my interview with Focus on the Family?

Thank you for listening, every word I said was with you in mind.

Has your world just been rocked?
Are you wondering if your marriage is simply hard, toxic, difficult—or actually abusive?

I know that feeling. It’s as if your insides just imploded, and your entire body is flooded with dread and fear as you realize that hard, toxic, and difficult are just synonyms for abuse—even if he’s never hit you.

You’ve been trying so hard for so long, praying he would become the man you married, believing he would change. You’ve forgiven until there’s nothing left to forgive. You’ve submitted until there’s nothing left of you.

You’ve been made responsible for his salvation, his behavior, his choices—to keep him from cheating or watching porn. And maybe you’ve been told that God hates divorce, so there’s no way out.

You feel trapped and hopeless, especially because everyone else loves him. They think you’re lucky to have such a good man. But they’ve never seen the one behind closed doors—the one who whispers vile things in your ear while smiling in public.

You’re not alone, and this isn’t the end of your story—it’s the beginning of your healing. The truth may shatter your world for a while, but it will also set you free. God never asks you to stay in harm’s way; He calls you toward truth, freedom, and restoration. If this speaks to your heart, my book Hope for Healing from Domestic Abuse and my ongoing blog series were written with you in mind, to help you find clarity, courage, and the first steps toward wholeness.

You don’t have to stay silent.
